It's Jon Lau's gig yesterday night @ Timbre and I jio-ed Nic, Mitch, Nic and Hilda along with Shaun and Desmond who will definitely will be there for their buddy- The Jenkinsons Bangla *grin*
First up, some bierre and pizza for dinner! We were already freaking hungry so anything will do. But come to think about it, pizza and beer is the ultimate combo! haha but we both agree that Wala-wala has better food. Mr Ng Yuan Kai has been stuck in hall, busy with Sports Club stuff, for the past few months, so nice Mimi brought him out to have some fun! hah.. I think recently I have been drinking too much beer, which I obviously loathe. *yucks* But what to do when your friends like these fermented liquid so much...
(The previous night at Winebar with Dickson and friends is bad enough. $20 for only like 1 glass?? ( for me) And $20 for cab!! Bloody hell.. anyway Dickson, remember you owe me this ok.. haha.. Make me dug my piggybank for coins to give the cab diver! Damn paiseh!)
Mitch and Nic!! Miss them lots! Really really.. But I think because we didn't manage to sit together that night, and also that these couple of months after coming back from New Jersey has already drifted us apart? Sigh. Anyway, I'm still very happy that we get to see each other again. Haa you know.. seeing Jon playing on stage, with so many friends cheering. Seeing Shaun with shorter hair and smaller beer belly, together with his girlfriend. Seeing Desmond with no spectacles on for the first time. Seeing Mitch looking so pretty and Nic as fair as usual complexion. It's so awwww...

There's quite a crowd at Timbre that day. In case anyone of you who don't know, it's near Dhoby Ghaut, a chill out place where you can snack, drink and listen to local bands. The thing that really impressed me was how the SMU students dress! haha lame but it's true!
Not sure why but it was then that I realised NTU students are really kind of sloppy (generally) and not as happening. Maybe it's just that I don't know, but it's the first time I went for a gig and seeing many beautiful people. Even if they don't have a drop dead gorgeous face or figure, they dress absolutely well. It's those style that you usually read on magazines. Cool. Me and YuanKai had a great time bio-ing zabo. haha even I can't stop staring. There's quite a couple of them whom we think are irresistible! wahaha. Ok, it's just a thought, don't sue me for that. FYI, Dawn Yang was there too. She seemed to be everywhere. Maybe her ambition is to be a socialitee??
Back to Jon, he's in this band called Leftovers (Maybe again, it's because he always like to eat our leftover food hehe). In New Jersey, he has already let us listen to his songs. Yes his songs! He wrote all the songs! Both tune and lyrics. He's really talented. Recently he got involved in writing a song for an album which is for cancer charity. They just released their EP on the very night! So anyone interested in their songs, get from me for sampling?? haha then go and BUY. All the best bro!
